Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organised Power Grid Admin Support professional to join our essential service team. In this critical on-site role, you will provide comprehensive administrative assistance to our operational teams, ensuring smooth daily operations that underpin the reliability of our electricity network. Your contribution will directly impact our ability to maintain essential services, support technical staff, and respond effectively to network requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organise operational documentation, records, and reports with precision.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and accurately record minutes.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and maintain budgetary tracking for departmental projects.
  • Handle internal and external communications, including phone calls and emails, with professionalism.
  • Provide logistical support for field teams, including equipment tracking and scheduling assistance.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as required.
  • Assist with data entry and maintain various databases related to network assets and operations.
  • Support compliance with health and safety protocols by maintaining relevant documentation.
  • Undertake general administrative tasks to support the efficient functioning of the department.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a utility or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Knowledge of the energy or utilities sector.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
  • A recognised administrative qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration).
