Job Description
GXO Logistics is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Online Logistics Coordinator to join our remote team, focusing on fleet tracking. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transport fleet from a remote setting. You will monitor vehicle movements, manage schedules, resolve real-time issues, and communicate effectively with drivers and clients. This is a crucial position for maintaining our high standards of delivery performance and customer satisfaction, all from the convenience of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fleet movements in real-time using GPS tracking software and other proprietary systems.
- Communicate proactively with drivers regarding routes, schedules, and any unforeseen delays or issues.
- Coordinate with various departments (e.g., customer service, warehouse operations) to resolve logistics challenges promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet activity, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or anomalies in fleet tracking data.
- Assist in scheduling and dispatching, ensuring optimal route planning and resource allocation.
- Respond to driver inquiries and provide support for on-road issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for fleet management and tracking processes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, or fleet management.
- Proficiency with fleet tracking software (e.g., telematics, GPS systems).
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with a global logistics provider.
- Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance.
- Ability to analyse data and generate reports for performance improvement.
