Job Description
PwC is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Junior – Paid Accounting Intern to join our dynamic team in Baldivis, Western Australia. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring finance professionals to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. You will work alongside experienced accountants and financial advisors, contributing to real client projects and gaining invaluable insights into the operations of a global professional services firm. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior accountants with data entry, reconciliation, and financial record keeping.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Support the team in conducting financial analysis and preparing presentations.
- Learn and utilize various accounting software and tools.
- Participate in client meetings and internal team discussions to understand project requirements.
- Conduct research on financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Undertake administrative tasks as required to support the finance department.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP).
