Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Macadamia Harvesters to join our team for the upcoming harvest season. This is a seasonal, temporary position offering a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors and contribute to Australia’s thriving macadamia industry. Accommodation is available on-site or nearby, making it ideal for individuals seeking work away from home. You will be an integral part of our harvest operations, ensuring the efficient and careful collection of our precious macadamia nuts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor harvesting machinery under supervision, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Perform manual harvesting tasks, including picking up fallen nuts and clearing debris.
- Sort and quality check macadamia nuts, removing foreign material or damaged nuts.
- Assist with general farm duties as required, including equipment maintenance and site clean-up.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and farm protocols.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily harvesting targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural or farm work, particularly harvesting.
- Experience operating agricultural machinery or equipment.
- A valid driver's license.
