Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Bulk Sorter to join our dynamic team in Wodonga. This full-time, on-site role is crucial to our operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate sorting of a wide variety of freight and parcels. You will be responsible for handling goods, identifying destinations, and preparing items for onward distribution. This position offers top pay for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort, stack, and move freight and parcels according to destination and type.
- Operate pallet jacks or other manual material handling equipment as required.
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods to identify damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sorting targets and operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 25kg) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety practices.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or sorting role.
- Valid forklift license (LF or LO) or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic understanding of freight handling procedures.
