Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Part-time Gatekeeper to manage site access at our active construction project in Kawana Waters. This role is crucial for maintaining site security, ensuring the safety of all personnel, and managing the flow of visitors and deliveries. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, observant, and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and as part of a larger project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Control and monitor all entry and exit points of the construction site.
- Verify the identity and purpose of all visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Issue and collect visitor passes, ensuring all sign-in/sign-out procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate logs of all personnel and vehicles entering and leaving the site.
- Direct visitors and deliveries to the appropriate areas on site.
- Operate gate barriers and ensure security protocols are strictly adhered to.
- Report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with general site inquiries and provide basic information to visitors.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the gatehouse and immediate surrounding area.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of vigilance and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping.
- Strong understanding and commitment to site safety protocols.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to handle varying weather conditions in an outdoor setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security, gatekeeping, or customer service role.
- Construction Induction White Card (or ability to obtain one prior to starting).
- First Aid certification.
- Local knowledge of the Kawana Waters area.
