Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Training & Development Officer to join our corporate team in Townsville. This role is crucial in supporting the learning and growth of our employees, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and contribute to the bank’s strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating, delivering, and evaluating training programs, working closely with various departments to identify development needs and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external training programs and workshops.
- Assist in the design, development, and update of training materials and resources.
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions to employees at various levels.
- Conduct training needs assessments and collaborate with managers to identify skill gaps.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate training records and participant data.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees by facilitating induction training.
- Research and recommend new learning technologies and methodologies.
- Manage relationships with external training providers and vendors.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the bank's learning and development strategies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a training and development role, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to design and develop engaging training content.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Education, Organisational Development, or a related field.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Certification in a relevant training methodology (e.g., Cert IV in Training and Assessment).
