Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Sustainability Data Analyst to join our Corporate ESG team. This fully remote role will be crucial in collecting, analysing, and interpreting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data to inform our sustainability strategy, reporting, and disclosures. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that drive our commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainable finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and manage large datasets related to ESG performance indicators from various internal and external sources.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of ESG data to identify trends, measure performance against targets, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain robust data models, dashboards, and reports for internal stakeholders and external disclosures (e.g., TCFD, SASB, GRI).
  • Support the preparation of annual sustainability reports, investor disclosures, and other ESG-related communications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Risk, Finance, Investor Relations, Corporate Affairs) to ensure consistent data reporting and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Research and stay up-to-date on emerging ESG regulations, standards, and best practices to inform data collection and analysis methodologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ESG data infrastructure and processes.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably with a focus on sustainability, ESG, or corporate social responsibility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python/R for data manipulation and analysis).
  • Familiarity with major ESG reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of climate risk assessment and scenario analysis.
  • Understanding of financial services industry and its unique ESG challenges.
  • Certification in sustainability reporting (e.g., GRI Standards Certified Professional).
