Job Description

This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking for hands-on experience, a supportive learning environment, and a clear pathway into the construction and electrical industry. You will work alongside experienced electricians, providing essential support on various construction projects in the Newcastle area. We value dedication and a willingness to learn above all else, offering comprehensive on-the-job training to help you develop valuable skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems.
- Safely carry tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas.
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, organizing, and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Perform basic tasks such as cutting, bending, and stripping wires under supervision.
- Help with the installation of conduits, wiring, and fixtures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies diligently.
- Learn and apply new electrical concepts and techniques as instructed by senior electricians.
Required Skills
- No prior electrical experience required – full training provided!
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) – mandatory for site entry.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
- Completed or enrolled in a pre-vocational electrical course (advantageous but not required).
