Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Shopify Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a Shopify Specialist, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Shopify stores for our diverse client base. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver exceptional e-commerce solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations. Your expertise in Shopify Liquid, front-end development, and app integration will be crucial in creating seamless and engaging user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify e-commerce stores, including theme customization and app integration.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, marketing tools).
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, industry trends, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing Shopify stores.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with Shopify platform development.
- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (Sass/SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with theme customization, app integration, and API usage.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shopify Partner Certification or equivalent.
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
