Job Description
Join the dedicated team at ISS Facility Services as a School Cleaner in Busselton, Western Australia. We are looking for a reliable and meticulous individual to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of a local school. This role is crucial in providing a safe and healthy learning environment for students and staff. You will work Monday to Friday during school hours, offering a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and dusting surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in designated areas.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any maintenance issues or damage to facilities to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour while on school premises.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning role, particularly in a school or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
- Basic understanding of COSHH regulations (or local equivalent).
