Job Description

Join BGC Residential as a Roofer’s Labourer for casual day shifts in Osborne Park. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the construction industry, particularly in roofing. Your primary role will be assisting experienced roofers with various tasks, ensuring projects run smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems.
  • Load and unload materials, including tiles, sheets, tools, and other equipment.
  • Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, safety barriers, and ensuring clean access.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, removing debris and waste materials.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and regulations, including working at heights.
  • Perform general labouring duties as required to support the roofing team.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg).
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety (e.g., White Card).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a labouring role, preferably in construction.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of basic roofing materials and techniques.
