Job Description
Join the Gutter-Vac Melbourne team as a Gutter Cleaning Helper! This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in a hands-on trade, with full safety gear provided and extensive training. You will assist our experienced technicians in maintaining residential and commercial guttering systems, ensuring properties are protected from water damage. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are keen to learn and contribute to a professional and safety-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead gutter cleaning technicians on various job sites.
- Handle, prepare, and maintain specialized gutter vacuum equipment and tools.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly followed, especially when working at heights.
- Perform debris removal, flushing, and basic cleaning tasks as directed.
- Help with site setup and cleanup before and after each job.
- Communicate effectively with team members and occasionally with clients.
- Support the technician in identifying potential issues with guttering systems.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 25kg).
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Basic communication skills in English.
- Strong commitment to safety at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual highly regarded).
- Previous experience in a physical or outdoor role.
- Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain with company support).
- First Aid certification.
