Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Landscaping Maintenance Hand to join our team in Byron Bay. This full-time, on-site role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for maintaining pristine landscapes. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ensuring our client sites are always presented to the highest standards. All necessary tools and equipment will be provided, and you’ll work consistent day shifts with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning.
- Operate and maintain a range of landscaping equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with planting, mulching, and irrigation tasks.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of all work sites.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or site issues to the supervisor.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete daily tasks.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance (minimum 6 months).
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Certificate II or III in Horticulture or a related field.
- First Aid certification.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
