Job Description

Join Cleanaway as a Recycling Plant Hand in Armidale! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about environmental work and contributing to a greener future. We are offering comprehensive training, so no prior experience in recycling or plant operations is required. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the efficient sorting, processing, and preparation of recyclable materials. Your role will directly impact our community’s ability to reduce waste and recover valuable resources, making a tangible difference every day. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor recycling machinery under supervision.
  • Manually sort and separate various recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, paper, glass, metals).
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or operational problems.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
