Job Description
Are you a talented and detail-oriented Product Photographer with a passion for e-commerce visuals? Harvey Norman is seeking a dedicated Product Photographer – E-commerce Focus to join our growing team in Cairns, QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging product imagery that drives sales and enhances the online customer experience across our various e-commerce channels. You will work with a diverse range of products, from electronics to home goods, ensuring visual consistency and brand guidelines are met. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and has a keen eye for detail, lighting, and composition tailored for online display.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume product photography for e-commerce platforms, including studio setup, lighting, and camera operation.
- Ensure all product images meet brand guidelines and technical specifications for online use (resolution, file size, colour accuracy).
- Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and content teams to understand product features and visual requirements.
- Perform post-production tasks including colour correction, retouching, and cropping to prepare images for web publication.
- Manage and organise digital assets, ensuring proper file naming conventions and storage.
- Maintain photography equipment and studio space, ensuring it is clean and well-organised.
- Stay updated with e-commerce photography trends and best practices to continually improve visual content.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in product photography, specifically for e-commerce.
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras, studio lighting equipment, and accessories.
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for image editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of colour theory, composition, and product styling for online display.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce product photography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience with 360-degree product photography or videography.
- Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for image optimisation.
