Job Description

Are you eager to start a hands-on career and learn a valuable trade? Poolwerx Blacktown is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pool Maintenance Trainee to join our growing team. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with no prior experience to learn the ins and outs of pool and spa maintenance from industry experts. You will receive comprehensive, on-the-job training covering everything from water chemistry and equipment diagnostics to cleaning techniques and customer service. If you’re reliable, keen to learn, enjoy working outdoors, and have a positive attitude, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with routine pool and spa cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Learn to test water chemistry and apply appropriate chemical treatments.
  • Understand how to clean and maintain pool filters, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Help with diagnosing and repairing minor pool equipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised service vehicle and workspace.

Required Skills

  • Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in repair work.
  • Commitment to long-term career development within the pool industry.
