Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Plasterer to join our dynamic team in Albury. This role is crucial for our upcoming commercial fit-out projects, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plastering finishes that meet our exacting standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of plastering work including setting, patching, cornice installation, and suspended ceiling systems for commercial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
- Measure, cut, and install plasterboard sheets, ensuring accurate alignment and secure fastening.
- Apply plaster compounds, texture coats, and finishes with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian building codes, safety regulations, and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Collaborate effectively with site managers, other tradespeople, and project stakeholders.
- Identify and report any potential issues or discrepancies on-site.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Qualified Plasterer, specifically on commercial fit-out projects.
- Extensive knowledge of various plastering techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) is mandatory.
- Possession of own tools and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification/certification in Wall and Ceiling Lining or Plastering.
- Experience with large-scale commercial fit-outs and multi-story buildings.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members.
- First Aid certification is a plus.
