Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Pipe Lining Assistant to join our specialist civil work team on the Sunshine Coast. This role involves assisting skilled technicians in the preparation, installation, and maintenance of various pipe lining solutions for critical infrastructure projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and safe execution of pipe lining operations, working outdoors in various conditions, and contributing to the integrity of essential underground services. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of sites for pipe lining projects, including material handling and equipment staging.
- Support senior technicians in the installation of pipe liners, including mixing resins, operating winches, and monitoring processes.
- Perform general labour duties such as digging, trenching, and backfilling as required.
- Operate and maintain various hand tools and small machinery safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and risk assessments.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on job sites.
- Assist with post-installation clean-up and demobilisation of equipment.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
- Valid Australian White Card (General Construction Induction Card).
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Problem-solving aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (even entry-level) in civil construction, labouring, or a related field.
- Experience with trenchless technology or pipe rehabilitation techniques.
- Current driver's license (manual preferred).
- First Aid and/or CPR certification.
- Relevant machinery tickets (e.g., confined space, working at heights) would be an advantage.
