Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Jetty Maintenance Helper to join our coastal construction team in Pinkenba, QLD. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in marine construction and maintenance. You will assist skilled tradespeople in various tasks related to the inspection, repair, and upkeep of jetties, wharves, and other coastal structures. This is an excellent opportunity to learn on the job, develop valuable skills, and contribute to essential infrastructure projects that serve our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople and engineers with the maintenance, repair, and construction of marine structures, including jetties, wharves, and pontoons.
- Prepare work sites by setting up equipment, tools, and materials as instructed.
- Perform general labour tasks such as cleaning, clearing debris, mixing materials, and carrying equipment.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and site-specific procedures.
- Assist with the inspection of structures for damage or wear.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and productive work culture.
