Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Inventory Control Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Campbelltown. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring smooth stock movement, and supporting our operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work independently, focusing on data accuracy, physical stock verification, and problem resolution within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position requires shift work and primarily involves internal communication and data management, with no direct customer phone interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Process inbound and outbound stock movements accurately and timely.
- Manage inventory data within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and adjustments.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and procurement teams to optimize stock levels and flow.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) as needed (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Reliability and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Warehousing Operations or Logistics.
- Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems.
- Current forklift license (LF Class).
- Understanding of supply chain principles.
