Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Insolvency Assistant to join our Financial Advisory team in Rockingham, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills to contribute to complex insolvency and restructuring engagements. You will provide critical support to our insolvency practitioners, helping to manage cases efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist insolvency practitioners with case administration, including file management and document preparation.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and other legal documents related to insolvency matters.
  • Manage and reconcile debtor and creditor ledgers.
  • Conduct research and gather information pertinent to insolvency cases.
  • Liaise with clients, creditors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Organise and attend meetings, taking minutes where required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures.
  • Perform general administrative duties as needed to support the team.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles or legal processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related field.
  • Prior administrative experience in a professional services or legal environment.
  • Exposure to insolvency or financial advisory services.
  • Experience with case management software.
