Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Fertilizer Sorter to join our team in Greenway, ACT. This is a vital, on-site role within our warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient sorting and handling of agricultural fertilizers. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, sorting, stacking, and dispatching various types of fertilizers, contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain. This position offers steady work with a focus on safety and precision in a regional setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments of fertilizers, verifying contents against delivery notes.
  • Accurately sort and stack various types of bagged and bulk fertilizers in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified) to move materials safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare outgoing fertilizer orders for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and product types.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the sorting area and warehouse.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, particularly when handling chemicals.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the team leader promptly.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy bags (up to 25kg) repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and counting.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Understanding and commitment to workplace safety procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or agricultural setting.
  • Current forklift operator license (LF class).
  • Familiarity with agricultural products or fertilizer types.
