Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as an Early Morning Baker at our Erina store. This part-time position is perfect for someone who loves to start their day early, enjoys the craft of baking, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of products, ensuring our display cabinets are stocked with fresh, high-quality goods for our customers from opening. No prior baking experience is necessary as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually for early morning shifts, typically starting between 3 AM – 5 AM.
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to Bakers Delight recipes and quality standards.
- Operate baking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Monitor product quality and ensure all items meet presentation standards.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene principles (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery or food preparation role is a plus, but not essential.
- Current Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- A passion for baking and creating delicious food.
