Job Description
Are you a highly motivated student with a passion for e-commerce and a keen interest in online growth strategies? Officeworks is offering an exciting student placement opportunity to work within our dynamic e-commerce team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience with Shopify, digital marketing, website optimization, and data analysis, contributing directly to our online success. You’ll gain invaluable insights into the operations of a leading Australian retailer’s digital channels, learning from experienced professionals and making tangible contributions to live projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management and optimization of our Shopify e-commerce platform.
- Support the creation and updating of product listings, content, and promotional campaigns on our online stores.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new growth opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of digital marketing initiatives (SEO, SEM, social media).
- Analyze website performance data (e.g., Google Analytics) to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, IT, merchandising) to ensure a seamless online customer journey.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new e-commerce features and user experience enhancements.
- Provide administrative support to the e-commerce team as required.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, IT, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce principles and digital marketing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- A self-starter with a proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
