Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated E-commerce Data Specialist to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. In this role, you will be pivotal in analyzing our vast e-commerce datasets to identify key sales trends, customer behavior patterns, and market opportunities. Your insights will directly inform strategic business decisions, optimize product offerings, and enhance the overall online shopping experience for millions of Australians. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large e-commerce datasets to identify sales trends, product performance, and customer purchasing patterns.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for e-commerce operations.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover root causes of performance fluctuations and recommend actionable strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to translate data insights into business actions.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across various e-commerce platforms and reporting tools.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably within e-commerce or retail.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python or R for advanced statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics platforms.
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and their application in e-commerce.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Google BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
