Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dock Hand for our afternoon shift operation in Innisfail, QLD. This is a crucial role within our logistics team, responsible for the efficient and safe movement of freight through our busy depot. You will play a vital part in ensuring goods are correctly loaded, unloaded, sorted, and prepared for dispatch. Due to the nature of the afternoon shift, this position comes with high penalty rates, offering a fantastic opportunity to boost your earnings. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload various types of freight from trucks and containers, both manually and using equipment.
- Sort and stage freight according to destination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment safely and effectively (if licensed).
- Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organizing the dock area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including manual handling guidelines.
- Report any damaged goods, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
