Job Description
Are you looking for a physically engaging role that offers a great workout and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team? Linfox is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Delivery Driver Offsiders to join our operations in Traralgon, Victoria. This role is perfect for individuals who are fit, strong, and eager to learn the ropes of logistics and delivery. You’ll be an integral part of our delivery team, assisting our drivers with the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of goods, often involving manual handling and heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the primary driver with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods, including frequent heavy lifting.
- Ensure all cargo is securely restrained and prepared for transit, adhering to Linfox's safety standards.
- Accurately verify delivery manifests and ensure correct items are delivered to designated locations.
- Provide navigation assistance and maintain clear communication with the driver and base.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle cabin and cargo area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, road regulations, and customer site requirements.
- Represent Linfox professionally at all times when interacting with clients and the public.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated physical fitness and the ability to safely lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Ability to adapt to changing delivery schedules and challenging conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role, warehousing, or logistics.
- Knowledge of the Traralgon and broader Gippsland regional area.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Manual handling training certification.
