Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Climbing Arborist to join our dynamic team in Redcliffe. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional looking for top pay and a supportive work environment. You will be responsible for a wide range of arboricultural services, primarily focusing on climbing, pruning, and removal of trees in various settings. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient tree care solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced tree climbing and aerial operations using ropes and harnesses.
  • Execute precise pruning, shaping, and deadwooding of trees.
  • Safely and efficiently carry out tree removals, including dismantling large and hazardous trees.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of arboricultural equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-job hazard assessments and develop safe work plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Mentor junior team members and apprentices.

Required Skills

  • Certificate III in Arboriculture (or equivalent recognized qualification).
  • Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Climbing Arborist.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in advanced climbing techniques, rigging, and aerial rescue.
  • Current Chainsaw Operations certification.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License (MR or HR license preferred).
  • Strong understanding of tree biology, pest and disease identification.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license.
  • Traffic Management certification.
  • Familiarity with local government regulations regarding tree preservation.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial projects.
