Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and physically fit Civil Labourers to join our dynamic team on critical infrastructure projects in the Victor Harbor region. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals looking for high pay and stable employment with a leading industry player. You will be integral to the successful delivery of various civil construction works, contributing to roads, bridges, utilities, and other essential infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons and machine operators on various civil construction tasks.
- Perform manual labour, including digging, trenching, shovelling, and raking.
- Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment safely around the worksite.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Spot for heavy machinery and assist with traffic management as required.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Undertake general site maintenance and clean-up duties.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Civil Labourer, preferably on infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding and commitment to WHS policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Reliable transport to and from the worksite in Victor Harbor.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction).
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid certification.
- Experience operating small plant equipment (e.g., compaction equipment, jackhammers).
- Experience with concrete work or formwork.
- Traffic Management certification.
- Heavy Vehicle (HR/HC) or Plant Operator licences.
