Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Endeavour Foundation is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Disability Day-Program Helper to join our team in Coffs Harbour. In this vital role, you will support individuals with disabilities in our community-focused day programs, fostering independence, social connection, and skill development. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with disabilities in participating in planned day program activities both within our centre and out in the community.
  • Provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, and skill development.
  • Facilitate engaging and meaningful social, recreational, and educational activities.
  • Support individuals with personal care needs as required, always maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Transport participants safely to and from various community locations using company vehicles.
  • Document observations, progress, and incidents accurately and promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and other stakeholders to ensure holistic support.
  • Adhere to all Endeavour Foundation policies, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements.

Required Skills

  • Genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
  • Current Australian Driver's License (manual and automatic) and willingness to drive company vehicles.
  • Ability to obtain or hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field (or working towards).
  • Previous experience in the disability sector or a similar support role (volunteer experience considered).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
