Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Bread Delivery Assistant to join our night shift team in Lismore. This is a crucial role ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of fresh bread products to various retail outlets and customers throughout the region. Key Responsibilities
- Load bread and other baked goods onto delivery vehicles following established procedures.
- Safely and efficiently deliver products to designated locations on a pre-determined night route.
- Verify order accuracy upon loading and delivery, ensuring all products match invoices.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Report any delivery discrepancies or vehicle issues promptly to management.
- Work collaboratively with the dispatch and bakery teams to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Class C Driver's License (or equivalent)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 25kg) regularly
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and punctuality for night shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or logistics, especially with food products.
- Familiarity with the Lismore and surrounding Northern Rivers road network.
- Experience operating light commercial vehicles.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance checks.
