Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Mobile App Developer to join our innovative team in Fortitude Valley. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment but appreciates the robust backing of an established leader. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, contributing to solutions that are used by millions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java/Kotlin code for Android and Swift/Objective-C for iOS.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product owners, designers, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.
- Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automatisation.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
- Proficiency in Swift/Objective-C for iOS development and/or Java/Kotlin for Android development.
- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud messaging.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Flutter or React Native.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Understanding of security best practices in mobile development.
- Portfolio of released applications on the App Store or Google Play.
