Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for casual Bin Collector positions within the City of Gold Coast. As a Bin Collector, you will be an integral part of our waste management services, ensuring timely and efficient collection of refuse across various Gold Coast suburbs. This role requires physical fitness, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maneuver refuse collection vehicles (training provided if required).
  • Collect and empty residential and commercial bins according to established routes and schedules.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of collection vehicles.
  • Report any collection issues, hazards, or concerns promptly.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with the public when required.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety procedures.
  • Valid Australian C-class driver's license (or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in waste collection or similar outdoor manual labour roles.
  • Heavy Vehicle (HR/HC) license is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Local knowledge of Gold Coast areas.
