Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and diligent individuals to join our orchard team as Apple Thinning Staff for the upcoming summer season. This is an immediate hire opportunity, perfect for those looking for temporary summer work. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal growth and quality of our apple crops by carefully thinning fruit on the trees. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully thin apple blossoms and small fruit by hand according to quality standards and orchard manager instructions.
- Identify and remove damaged or underdeveloped fruit to promote healthy growth of remaining apples.
- Work efficiently and maintain a steady pace to meet daily thinning targets.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working in the orchard.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, sun).
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
