Job Description

Join the vital team at SA Ambulance Service as an Ambulance Dispatch Assistant in Murray Bridge. This pivotal role involves supporting our dispatch operations, ensuring the efficient coordination of ambulance resources and timely responses to emergency and non-emergency calls. You will work closely with Ambulance Dispatch Officers, call takers, and ambulance crews, providing administrative and communication support to maintain smooth and effective service delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Ambulance Dispatch Officers in monitoring and managing ambulance movements and availability.
  • Process and log non-emergency transport requests and allocate resources as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatches, vehicle statuses, and incident logs.
  • Communicate effectively with ambulance crews, providing updates and relaying information.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to dispatch operations, including data entry and report generation.
  • Assist in emergency call overflow situations, providing support to call takers if needed.
  • Ensure compliance with SAAS policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team environment focused on patient care and operational excellence.
