Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Quest Apartment Hotels in Springwood, Queensland. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression for our guests, managing all front office operations efficiently, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks from check-in to check-out, handling inquiries, and providing local recommendations. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications using property management systems.
  • Answer phone calls and emails, providing accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Process payments, manage cash drawer, and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure guest needs are met.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) such as Opera or ResBook.
