Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Dispatch Runner to join our dynamic team at a fast-paced warehouse facility in Werribee. This ongoing, full-time position requires an energetic individual who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to ensuring the smooth flow of goods. As a Dispatch Runner, you will be crucial in supporting our warehouse operations, ensuring that packages and documents are moved efficiently within the facility and prepared for dispatch. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect and deliver packages, documents, and other items within the warehouse facility.
- Sort and organize incoming and outgoing parcels, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Assist in loading and unloading vehicles, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including designated dispatch zones.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, if certified.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Prepare dispatch documentation accurately.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and completing forms.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car).
- Forklift license (LF) or experience operating other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse safety procedures.
