Job Description
We are seeking a highly vigilant and licensed Security Monitoring Dispatcher to join our dedicated team in North Griffith. This crucial role involves monitoring security systems, responding to alarms, and dispatching security personnel or emergency services as required. As a Security Monitoring Dispatcher, you will be the nerve center of our operations during night shifts, ensuring rapid and effective responses to potential threats and incidents. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor multiple CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control platforms.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all security alarms and incidents.
- Dispatch security officers, mobile patrols, and/or emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) as per protocol.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all activities, incidents, and responses.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with on-site security personnel, clients, and emergency services.
- Provide remote support and guidance to field teams during incidents.
- Operate and troubleshoot various security software and hardware systems.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive incident reports and follow-up documentation.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Security Licence (Class 1F or equivalent for monitoring operations) – essential.
- Demonstrated experience in a security monitoring or dispatch role.
- Proficiency in using CCTV, alarm monitoring software, and access control systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong observational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with leading security monitoring platforms (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, C-Cure).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in security management or a related field.
- Experience in a control room or emergency services dispatch environment.
