Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive APS4 Support Officer to join our team in Coffs Harbour. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our services, providing administrative, operational, and customer support. You will contribute to a positive workplace culture and ensure the efficient delivery of services to the Australian public, working within established guidelines and policies. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative support, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation.
- Respond to routine enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, redirecting complex matters as necessary.
- Contribute to team projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and effective completion of tasks.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, including WHS and privacy requirements.
- Undertake data entry and maintain accurate databases and information systems.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a government environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clear and professional interaction.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with government specific systems or databases.
- Understanding of the Australian Public Service (APS) framework and values.
- Relevant vocational qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in Government or Business Administration).
