Job Description
Are you an organized and energetic individual looking for casual work in Byron Bay? Rip Curl is seeking a Retail Stockist to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be crucial to maintaining our store’s inventory, ensuring our shelves are always stocked with the latest surfwear and gear. This is a casual position perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment and has a keen eye for detail. You’ll play a vital part in the smooth operation of our store, supporting our sales team and ultimately enhancing the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and process incoming merchandise shipments efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and store inventory in the stockroom, ensuring it is tidy, accessible, and well-maintained.
- Replenish sales floor merchandise regularly to maintain optimal stock levels and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock takes.
- Process product returns and transfers as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and back-of-house area.
- Support the sales team by locating specific products and assisting with general store operations when needed.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise (up to 20kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail stockist, warehousing, or similar inventory management role.
- Familiarity with Rip Curl products or a general interest in surf culture and lifestyle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
