Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Bulk Goods Handler to join our team in Wangaratta for casual, ongoing day shifts. This role is essential to our daily operations, involving the efficient and safe handling of various bulk goods within our warehouse and distribution centre. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, and moving products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload bulk goods from trucks and containers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
- Sort, stack, and organise goods within the warehouse according to inventory procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Strictly follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with excellent attendance record.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar bulk handling role (at least 6 months).
- Current Forklift Licence (LF class) is highly regarded.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory tracking.
