Job Description

Join Balfour Beatty as an Entry Level Site Marshall and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of our construction sites in Oxford. This position is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in construction safety, offering comprehensive training and a clear pathway for development. You will be responsible for managing site access, directing personnel and vehicles, and maintaining a high standard of safety awareness across the site. No prior experience is required, just a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor site access points, ensuring only authorised personnel and vehicles enter the site.
  • Direct site traffic, including deliveries and personnel, to maintain efficient flow and prevent congestion.
  • Act as a visible presence on site, promoting safe practices and adherence to site rules.
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or breaches of site rules immediately to site management.
  • Assist with visitor inductions and ensure all visitors comply with site safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs of site visitors, vehicle movements, and deliveries.
  • Support the site management team with general administrative and operational tasks as required.
  • Ensure pedestrian routes are clear and safe, and safety signage is correctly displayed and maintained.
