Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Laverton North, Melbourne. This crucial role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse operations. This position requires shift work (morning, afternoon, or night shifts) and is primarily focused on data accuracy and physical inventory management; there are no phone calls involved in this role. Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis.
- Maintain precise inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Generate and review inventory reports to identify trends and potential issues.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Ensure all inventory movements are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Assist with receiving and dispatch processes as required to maintain inventory integrity.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent numerical and data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts (day, afternoon, night, weekends) as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar role.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class).
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles.
