Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Part-time Tutors to join our team in Cairns, specifically for our afternoon roster. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive learning environment. As a Kumon Tutor, you will guide students through their individualized study programs, providing support and encouragement to help them develop strong foundational skills in math and reading.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess student progress and provide individualized guidance on Kumon worksheets.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment for students aged 3-18.
- Effectively communicate with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Mark student worksheets accurately and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist with center operations, including student registration and material preparation.
- Adhere to Kumon instructional methods and center policies.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Patience and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Reliable and punctual, with consistent afternoon availability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or childcare.
- Currently studying towards or hold a degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Kumon Method is a plus.
