Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in an essential service industry? Rentokil Initial is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pest Control Assistant to join our team in Wetherill Park. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to ensure your success. You will work alongside experienced technicians, learning the ropes of professional pest management and contributing to the safety and well-being of our clients across various commercial and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior pest control technicians in performing pest inspections and treatments.
- Learn and apply safe working practices and pest control techniques under supervision.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear information and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant Australian regulations.
- Participate actively in all training sessions and continuous learning opportunities.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working in various environments (e.g., attics, crawl spaces).
- Commitment to health and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) principles.
- Previous experience in a customer service or field-based role (even if not pest control related).
- First Aid certification.
