Job Description
As a WFH HR Coordinator specializing in Onboarding & Admin Support at Telstra, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our new hires, particularly in a remote environment. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Australia. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the onboarding process, from initial offer to first day, and providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR team. Your keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and proactive approach will be essential in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end remote onboarding process for new employees, including offer letter generation, background checks, and new hire paperwork.
- Coordinate virtual orientation sessions and ensure new hires have access to necessary systems and resources.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new hires regarding onboarding inquiries, ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the broader HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing HR correspondence.
- Assist with HR project work and ad-hoc tasks as required to support HR initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies, procedures, and Australian employment law.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably within HR.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment, demonstrating self-motivation.
- Understanding of basic HR processes and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Familiarity with Australian employment law and industrial relations.
- Previous experience working in a remote or hybrid work setting.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
