Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Lead to spearhead our Human Resources Strategy initiatives based in our Ballarat office. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing strategic talent programs that align with our organisational goals and foster a high-performance culture. This includes overseeing talent acquisition strategies, performance management frameworks, learning and development programs, and succession planning. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR best practices, a proven track record in strategic HR leadership, and the ability to drive significant organizational change through innovative talent solutions. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure our talent strategies effectively support business growth and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive talent strategies that support business objectives and future growth.
- Lead the design and execution of talent acquisition programs, ensuring a strong pipeline of diverse and qualified candidates.
- Oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance reviews.
- Identify learning and development needs and implement effective programs to enhance employee skills and career progression.
- Drive succession planning initiatives to ensure leadership continuity and talent readiness for critical roles.
- Analyse HR metrics and data to identify trends, inform strategic decisions, and measure the effectiveness of talent initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR business partners and senior management to embed HR strategies across all business units.
- Ensure all talent management processes comply with relevant employment laws and company policies.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, development, and employee engagement.
- Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering their growth and development.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies.
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition, performance management, and learning & development principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and talent management software.
- Ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or a related field.
- Certification in HR (e.g., AHRI, SHRM).
- Experience working within a large, multinational professional services firm.
- Proven experience with organisational change management.
- Exposure to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within talent strategy.
