Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Recreation Center Staff to join our team at a prominent council leisure facility in Canning Vale. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our recreation services, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to a positive experience for all patrons. You will be involved in various aspects of facility management, from administrative tasks to direct interaction with the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service at the reception desk, including greeting visitors, handling enquiries, and processing bookings and memberships.
- Monitor facility areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed and equipment is used correctly.
- Assist with the setup and pack down of equipment for various programs, events, and activities.
- Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility remains tidy and presentable.
- Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Respond to first aid incidents and emergencies as trained, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Support the coordination and delivery of leisure programs and community events.
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative duties as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service or recreation facility role.
- Knowledge of recreation programs and services.
- Experience with facility booking systems.
- A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
