Job Description
This is an exceptional opportunity for an aspiring architect or design student to gain hands-on experience within a leading architectural studio. Our Work Experience program at Cox Architecture in Renmark offers a unique insight into the daily operations, design processes, and project lifecycle of a professional architectural practice. You will be exposed to various stages of architectural projects, from conceptualisation to documentation, and learn alongside experienced professionals. This program is designed to provide practical skills and enhance your understanding of the architectural profession.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist architects and designers with research and data collection.
- Support the preparation of design presentations and visualisations.
- Aid in the drafting of plans, sections, and elevations using CAD software.
- Organise and maintain project files and resources.
- Participate in team meetings and design discussions.
- Observe and learn from various stages of project development.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in architecture and design.
- Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) or willingness to learn.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an architectural or design program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Basic knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino).
- Previous experience with architectural model making.
- A portfolio demonstrating design potential (even if academic).
